New BMW 650i?

Hi Ed,

When will you be doing a review for the BMW 650i 2dr Convertible (4.8L 8cyl 6M)? What options do you recommend to keep the price low, but also keep the door open for a good used car sale down the road?

    Hi George,

    I’m sorry, but I won’t be getting a 650i with a manual to drive—there’s none in the press fleet. However, I do have a review of a 2008 with the automatic, if you’re interested.

    If you buy a 650i, you will be getting a car that is very well equipped. Navigation, and features like adaptive headlights and Park Distance Control are standard. I don’t think there are any “must have” options.

    If you can wait until 2010, an all new 650i is due to arrive, and it should be really good.
